William Harry "Bill" Pendleton, 4 September 1938 - 17 September 1999.
Our dad began studying with Arnold at the beginning of the 80's. He had always been an avid bible scholar. He always challenged us in the Word as children and later as adults. Always calling posing the question, already knowing the answer but forever sending us deeper into the Word. Dad was a member of the USAF Strategic Air Command and a Colonel in the Confederate Air force. He always said he was flipping through channels on the big dish and heard one word "military" and that was from Arnold and that hooked him then and there. When my family moved back to NE Oklahoma he attended Shepherds Chapel meetings in person from time to time as his health permitted. Arnold was on in our house 24/7. Dad would be sound asleep and wake up immediately if Arnold was turned off. The bible study was a great comfort to him in all of his earthly trials. It was daily and first on his written to do list. We miss his love, wit and humor daily. My sister and I inheirted all his library of bible study books which we treasure. I have a old, well worn marked up Companion Bible that will be forever dear to me...We found written after his death...I have two children that have eyes to see and wrote out a wittness that the teaching was the truth. The seeds were being planted at the funeral from dads last hidden words. We are of Scottish heritage and had a piper at the funeral that played amazing grace while the sweetest kiss of the Holy Spirit in the breeze came from no where into the tent around and out. It was a amazing blessed funeral for a soul gone home, a "airman gone west."
